I'm not good at funny joke blogs, so I'll post something nice and keep it short.
The number reason why I have yet to leave DSO:
Enough board members are competent, and being around said people in a (relatively) functioning organization is awesome.
Sometimes I forget how horribly fucked (I hope cussing fund is over, because I'm not paying. The gov't is poor and can't give me my worth's pay for the summer. They can't afford to give me a box of tissues either. Er, also like to say though, it's otherwise great. This probably breaks 100 rules of proper writing, for one, it's in the middle of curse phrase.) up organizations usually were/are. So, it makes me appreciate DSO that much more.
Oh, and since you guys brought it up. I must repost Captain Nom's Edwinisms:
--Being scolded---
Normal person: Takes the advice to heart and avoids making infractions in the future.
Edwin: Removes all points of contact to prevent future scoldings.
--Classwork---
Normal person: Balances extracurricular activities and classwork to make sure that both are equally supported.
Edwin: Takes OS and spends the majority of his time doing OS work until Professor Claus personally comes from his house to inform him just how far behind he is.
--Dating---
Normal person: Has a romantic friday evening with someone they care about.
Edwin: Has dinner with Anthony.
-Keeping organized---
Normal person: Keeps a planner or journal. Neatly files important documents in a system such that if they're needed again they can easily be found.
Edwin: Outsources to India.
